Poor cat is it an indoor or outdoor cat? and what age these two factors kinda control how well it will respond to the injury. As outdoor cats are able to hunt letting them get a whole litany parasites that shorten their lives and every critter with age eventually has difficulties healing.
I say this as these conditions affect whether a kitty can heal.
