Whisper of the Nightingale

When Raven Night was alive she had, since the age of three, been trained into a deadly killer and by the age of 25 her prowess had become legend; she was beyond a shadow of a doubt the most deadly assassin the world had ever seen. They called her the Night Singer and every man and women in power feared to one day hear her ‘singing’, for it would be the last thing they would ever hear.

It was then that the young miss Night was sent on a mission she refused to complete and, as a consequence, she was hunted down and killed. As darkness claimed her, she could not help but feel resentment; would her countless slaughters – on other peoples command – be her only legacy!?

However, to her surprise, the darkness faded once more and Raven found herself reborn in a world of magic and martial arts. Perhaps this time around she would create a better legend for herself?

    1. Well, I don’t really have a set schedule since I’m writing this as a hobby. My minimum is one chapter a week but on a good week I’d like to release a chapter every three days.

      At the moment I’m in the middle och preparing for midterms which slows things down a bit though… Sorry about that.

    Your Vol 3 will soon reach the equivalent combination of your first two volumes. Will you leave the chapter division like that or have you ever thought about a way to balance all this ?
    If you’re interested, I have some ideas for you.

    – Merge vol 1 and 2 by choosing a new title for Vol 1. The two former titles would become the two major sub-parts of Vol 1 and the main new title :
    1) “The Nightingale Prefecture” since the two volumes are about the prefecture, its fall and how the two young survivors of the clan engage in a journey to seek justice.
    2) “The Little Miss of the Nigntingale Clan” if you want the title to focuse on the MC.
    3) A metaphorical title like “the Fall of the Nest” (the little bird (Raven) who loses his home) or “The Cry of the Nightingale”…etc.

    – Vol 3 (->2) : if the end of the volume is close, sub-divided it into two parts too.
    Part 1 : Raven adapts to her new environment -> “Junior Student Night”
    Part 2 : the story revolves around two things : the Talon Clan and the new assassin Whisper (since the focus point is still uncertain until the end of vol 3(->2), its not easy to choose).
    Title of Vol 3(->2) : perhaps… “Sky Academy” … not sure.

    1. I’ve actually been considering merging the first two volumes into one, but have been sort of putting it off until I know how long this volume and the next volume will become.

      I like your suggestions and will keep them in mind when it’s time for the merger ^.^

    I discovered this story 2 days ago and I’ve already finished up till chapter 131. So far this has to be my most favorite novel yet.
    I can’t seem to get tired of reading it and I really want to see the next chapter soon.

    1. Well, part of it is available on Wattpad (only v.1-3 so far) and the first 2 volumes will soon be self-published for real (with paper-version and all) but the later volumes are only available here and on RRL for the time being. Hopefully that will change eventually ^.^

Yes, I’m alive and well (and currently back on writing these stories – although still some time left before an new chapter)! 😊 Work and life has been a lot this last year and I’ve had trouble finding both time and inspiration to continue writing but that is changing now – hurray!
