Okay. . . This is so late that I don’t really know how to face all of you. . . . All I can say is that there have been (and will continue to be) serious amounts of things to take care of before I leave for Japan in a couple of weeks, ranging from finding a cat-sitter to getting my taxes done to cramming in a few last-minute courses. . . . With everything that has been going on, it has also been tricky to find the right words so the actual writing took longer than usual too. . . .
